Meet Maurizio Menendez, a Venezuelan-Italian engineer with a passion for nature and a knack for problem-solving. Born in Venezuela to Italian and Spanish parents, he grew up with the beach as his backyard and was always troubled by the plastic pollution he saw. As he progressed in his education, he realized that he couldn't just sit idly by and watch the world's oceans be destroyed. So, he set out to find a way to make a real impact.
After several joint surgeries, Maurizio is determined to prove that anyone can take on a challenge like this one. The Atlantic Row challenge presented the perfect opportunity for him to not only test his limits and inspire others to do the same, but also to raise funds to make a real difference in the fight against pollution.
